Samsung has recently rolled out the Blueborne fix for the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus Canadian units earlier they have provided the similar fix for their latest Galaxy Note 8.

Blueborne is a vulnerability related to malware which has been discovered recently, so to protect the devices various companies are providing updates for their smartphone’s software. If you aren’t aware then Blueborne is a kind of Virus that travels from one device to another through an active Bluetooth connection, the software doesn’t need to pair it directly send the essential information of the handset to the hacker. So to protect people from this undesired thing they have provided an update for the Galaxy J5(2016). Currently, the update is rolling out in the Europe region and soon will spread globally.
It is an OTA type update which means it will automatically give notification to your device; the Blueborne fix is coming along with the September security patch which aims to fix a lot of existing issues of the handset.
The firmware version of the update is “J510FNXXS2AQI4”. Some sources were also suggesting that soon Samsung will announce the Android Nougat update for Galaxy J5(2016) though nothing has been officially revealed by the brand yet.
If you haven’t received any update notification, then jump to settings menu-about device-system updates and download the update. For further updates stay tuned to us.
