Xiaomi has launched it’s much awaited Mi MIX 2 Bezel-Less beast in India; it packs all top notch specs that you will find on any other Flagship device. It is the second installment in the MIX-series, and the overall design of this phone reminds us of its elder brother Mi MIX which was not launched in India. The phone is very aggressively priced and will compete with the devices like Galaxy S8, OnePlus 5, etc.

Powering Mi MIX 2 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835(64 bit) Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.45Ghz coupled with 6GB of RAM, and for gaming, it has an Adreno 540 GPU. The phone offers 128GB of internal storage which is not expandable. It is a Dual-SIM handset and comes with the support of 4G VoLte. The phone has a Metallic Glass design and houses a Fingerprint Scanner in the rear as there is lack of space in the front.
In the front, there is a 5.99(inch) Full HD Plus IPS Screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, 18:9 ratio, 1500:1 Contrast Ratio. It is among the few devices in the world that comes with an actual Bezel-Less Screen.
This time it has a physical earpiece instead of the Bone conduction technology used in the old Mi MIX. ZTE Axon M (Multy) Z999 foldable phone spotted on Geekbench

Foldable smartphone
Image of a concept foldable phone, Image courtesy: Neowin. com
ZTE’s new device leaked with the model number Z999 is said to be its Axon Multy smartphone, which is reported to have a foldable display. This one works as follows, the device will have two displays sections, and they can be folded from between, making it almost 6.8-inches with 1080p resolution; and when folded it goes half of it may be.
Moreover, this is ZTE’s first such bendable phone experiment, so the company is not as experienced as Samsung or Lenovo as they have done such prototypes in the past. Still, the firm ZTE’s Z999 was spotted many times on Geekbench.
ZTE Z999 Geekbench
Image shows Geekbench listings for ZTE Z999, Image courtesy: slashleaks. com
The device scores an impressive single-core score of 1677 and an acceptable multi-core score of 4130. While it’s expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 as in the Geek-bench listings, it mentioned four cores(@2.0 GHz) and paired with 4GB RAM. However, it doesn’t have Oreo and still runs on Android Nougat 7.1.2 for now, might get launched with Android Oreo, but this has a very thin chance of happening so.
Furthermore, there’s no information about camera’s and battery capacity, however, looking at its size, we think it will pack a pretty decent pack, which could have been split into the two foldable portions. So, will be the internal motherboard, with high strength flex cables.
Apart from that, ZTE has a scheduled launch event on 17th of October in New York City and its highly possible that we could see the unveiling of the ZTE Axon Multy (Z999) at that event, along with some other stuff as well.

LG V30 is now available at Verizon and AT&T, pre-orders start at T-Mobile

Following quite a long wait since its official introduction at the end of August, LG's V30 is now available in the US at two of the big four carriers. We're talking about Verizon and AT&T. At the same time, T-Mobile has started taking pre-orders for the handset, ahead of its launch that will happen on October 13.
At Verizon, you can snatch an LG V30 for $840 all-in, or 24 monthly installments of $35. If you buy before November 6, you can score a $200 Visa prepaid card, and you will receive a free new Google Daydream View VR headset.

AT&T is asking for $809.99 of you hard earned cash for the V30 if you want to pay it all at once. Alternatively, you can go the installment route, shelling out $27 per month for 30 months. The same Daydream View offer applies as for Verizon.
Finally, T-Mobile will charge you $800 for the handset, which you can pay all at once or divided between $80 down and $30 monthly for two years. Interestingly, if you pre-order at the magenta carrier you can expect your unit to ship immediately, so you will probably have it in your hands way before the V30 officially becomes available in TMo stores on October 13.

BlackBerry Motion image leaks

Superman can relax, the Krypton has been renamed “BlackBerry Motion”. We had only seen the phone’s back, dressed up in BB’s favorite material – carbon fiber. Now we get a peek at the front as well thanks to a leaked official render of the device.
The Motion doesn’t actually move – there’s no slider here. No QWERTY keyboard either. In fact, this appears to be a keyboard-less version of the Keyone.
BlackBerry Krypton's retail name will be Motion
Unfortunately, this includes the less-than-stellar Snapdragon 625 chipset (or a 626, same thing). The rumored specs also include 4GB of RAM for the chipset and a 4,000mAh battery (this phone will go all day and all night). The screen is said to have 1080p resolution and this time it doesn’t have to leave room for a keyboard, so it’s bigger.

Nokia 2 may launch in between October to November (Report)

Nokia 2

Image showing rumored Nokia 2 smartphone Image Courtesy: Evan Blass
HMD’s Nokia 2 is a long-rumored entry-level device by the Finnish company, and its rumors and leaks have been circulating since then. The device is expected to come with a massive 4000mAh battery and probably an entry-level Qualcomm SoC; which would be very power efficient. And the design is similar to its elder siblings like the Nokia 3 and 5.
However, the only missing part of the puzzle was its launch date, which is now revealed by a chat between Nokia Myanmar and one of its fans showing that the Nokia 2 may launch in November in Myanmar. So, this also suggests that it may head over to other countries much earlier before it makes way towards Myanmar as Nokia is currently strong only in countries which are part of south-east Asia and the middle-east.

Moreover, the device could see an announcement in mid-October, and it will start shipping in late October to early November seems quite the perfect time. Talking about other specs, the Nokia 2 will sport a 5-inch 720p HD panel; and will come with a Snapdragon 212 chipset paired with 1GB to a maximum 2GB of RAM; moreover, a base of 8GB-16GB ROM is expected.

Furthermore, the handset will run on pure stock Android, with almost zero bloatware pre-installed. Apparently, we still have no information on how HMD plans to update it. Because they were generous enough to upgrade its entry-level budget phone Nokia 3 to Android Oreo sometime in future. As far pricing is concerned, you can expect it to come between $150 to $210 price range.
Meanwhile, have a look at the latest Nokia 9 which the company’s next-gen flagship, leaks in sketches and renders recently, from the front and rear.

Design and Feel
Redmi Note 5 leaked image

The leaks almost confirm that the successor to the Redmi Note series will follow the same design approach as the previous gen models. However, a significant change is anticipated as the fingerprint is reported to be placed at the front of the device which is only seen in the more premium range Xiaomi devices such as the Mi 5, this change will be much appreciated as a front mounted fingerprint sensor gives the phone a more premium look and separates it from the other existing budget smartphones.
On an individual note, there will be a unibody design, same as the one which we have seen earlier in Redmi Note 4.
The Redmi Note 4 wasn’t that much of an upgrade from Redmi Note 3 when it comes to design. But Xiaomi still did a lot of tinkering with the design to get rid of the flaws which were present in the Redmi Note 3 and the same strategy will be carried forward with the Redmi Note 5 as well.
The device will feature a 5.5 inch full HD display; we could see bottom faced speakers along with a Type C connector and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top.
Now many people complain that the volume rockers and power button felt a little plasticky on Redmi Note 4, so that’s one aspect Xiaomi will have to improve.
The device will feature a 16MP rear camera on the back along with a dual LED flash, and the front will have a 13MP front camera. The highlight of the front will be the front mounted fingerprint sensor only. Now the design of the Redmi Note 4 is close to perfect and if Xiaomi takes cares of these minor flaws present here and there that would just seal the deal for the Mi Note 5.
The device will be launched with MIUI 9 running on top of Android 7.1 Nougat.
Android O update once available will also be released for the device after some time from the official launch.

Display

redmi note 5 images

The Redmi Note 5 will feature a full HD 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, the pictures and the colors will be more vibrant and crisp on the Redmi Note 5 with an increase in pixel density to 401 pixels per inch.
The display has been reported to as being more bright and visible under direct sunlight also it would have better contrast and saturation.

Camera

redmi note 5 camera

Coming to the Photography aspect of the Redmi Note 5, well Xiaomi always features amazing camera sensors in their smartphones and the camera quality is pretty excellent for the price, coming to the Mi Note 5 it will feature a 16-megapixel Sony Exmor camera sensor on the rear and a 13-megapixel F/2.0 Sony camera sensor on the front.
The camera is improved in aspects where the Redmi Note 3 and the Redmi Note 4 lacked such as low light photography and indoor shots, some of the new camera features which the Redmi Note 5 will feature are Digital Image Stabilization, Geo-tagging, Live Filters, etc.
There is a significant bump in the front camera which is following the trend of selfies and video calling which is on the rise in the county.
The video recording on the previous gen Redmi Note smartphones has been not up to the mark, and the company has spent a lot of time in improving it this time. 4k video recording is present, and videos under low light will look a lot better thanks to that Sony sensor.

Processor(CPU), RAM, And Storage

redmi note5 specs

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at a higher 2.3GHz, the processor supports Bluetooth 5, and Quick charge 4.0 which is according to us the best part of the device as one of the shortcomings of the Redmi Note 4 was that there wasn’t any fast charging support. Also, there would be support for USB Type c as well.
There is a newer graphic processing unit as well; the Redmi Note 5 will come with Adreno 508 GPU which will give a significant boost to the device when it comes to handling heavy applications and gaming.
The Mi Note 5 will be available in three variants when it comes to RAM; the 3/4GB RAM models will be enough for day to day use while the 4GB model will be the one to look out for if you are a heavy user like myself. There will be three variants 3GB-32GB, 4GB-32GB, and the  4GB-64GB model, the phone will also have a hybrid sd card slot for storage expansion as well.

Battery

redmi note 5 battery

The battery life of the Redmi Note series is excellent with devices having more than 10 hours of screen on time.
The upcoming device will feature a smaller 3790 mAh battery which might seem a bit disappointing at first, but with the newer processor, the phone will be even when it comes to resource management which will result in an even battery life.
The battery has been made smaller in the context of making the phone more sleek and slim, and it would be interesting to see if fans appreciate this move by Xiaomi or not.
The highlight of this section will be of course the Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 which is supported by the Snapdragon 630, if the company decides to make the phone quick charge compatible and hopefully it will, the phone will stand out from the competition as no device in this range features fast charging support.
