In the new A-series(2018) devices you will not find any physical home button except the Galaxy A3(2018) as it will be most affordable of the three. For other devices, according to us A5(2018) and A7(2018) will have an Infinity Super AMOLED Screen with 18.5:9 ratio and will make these devices look similar to that of the Flagship Galaxy S8 and Note 8 devices. Some sources are also claiming that these new devices will no longer belong to budget series.
As per a Russian source, features like IP67 rating which protects the device from dust and water, Infinity display, a Dual-Camera all these hardware changes increase the cost of devices later whose MRP also becomes more. Which means that this time we may see features like Dust and Water resistant body on the Galaxy A-series(2018) devices. All three device will run on the new Samsung TouchWiz UI based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

When it comes to Custom ROM’s, CyanogenMod was a prevalent one, but sadly it got replaced by the Lineage OS. Now even though it is available for a lot of devices, there is a majority of devices left without support due to some reasons.
If you are in rooting and all from a while then you might be knowing that, there are some brands who don’t release there firmware related details, due to which it becomes challenging for developers to develop custom ROM’s for those devices. But we have good news for all the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus users using the Exynos variant as the devices has finally gotten the Lineage OS 14.1 support Un-officially.

For all developers, Samsung appears to be an annoying brand as most of the time they don’t release the firmware related information of their device. The fresh news is that from the side of an XDA developer an unofficial version of the Lineage OS 14.1 is released for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Unofficial Lineage OS 14.1 is specifically available for the Exynos version of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
For the Exynos versions of the Samsung devices custom ROM’s are hardly available. Even if you recall then old Samsung Galaxy S6-series and the Samsung Galaxy S7-series have officially received the Lineage OS.
The unofficial Lineage OS is based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and is not entirely stable which indirectly means that you cannot use it in your daily device. If you are a developer type person, then you can surely try it. The download link is present below:

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus users are experiencing some issues with their devices, which is that they’re not receiving complete text messages, from the sender; the users are only getting half text messages. The remaining part never reaches to them and its not with just a few users, but many users have raised this issues in many forums.
These complaints are all coming from the users having the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 Soc variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Moreover, few have also blamed the different networks for this issues. Moreover, it’s not just happening on one carrier its plagued on Verizon, AT&T, and on Sprint as well.

While some T-Mobile users also complained about the same, but a temporary fixed was talked about, in which you disable the WiFi, calling feature of your phone and the issues get resolved for some time.
However, it’s not guaranteed to work for everyone. Still, you can give it a shot. Some users also tried to switch to some other third party messaging, and it too didn’t work, so if you were thinking the same, you should drop that idea.
However, neither Samsung nor any of the carriers have acknowledged the issues faced by Galaxy S8/S+ owners yet. Apart, from that this matters of receiving just half text messages are only observed in the US, while other parts of the world aren’t having such problems yet. We will update if any party acknowledges and provides a fix for this, and provide you with a detail explanation on how to fix this issues, on your Galaxy S8/S8+.

Galaxy A 2018
Image of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A-series device. Image courtesy: gsmarena .com
We all know that Samsung is about to launch its A-Series(2018) devices soon on as  Case images of the smartphone were leaked on Weibo and Twitter. Though it was rumored from the beginning that a device from the A-Series would offer an all-new Infinity Screen instead of a traditional screen and today, we are having some fresh render of it with us, and the phone looks great. Let’s check out more about the upcoming device.
3It is already confirmed that the device will come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660(64 bit) Octa-Core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM, we all know that these handsets will not offer as much power as the Galaxy S8 series offer but still with this new Qualcomm processor they will manage to deliver satisfactory performance which was also shown by the earlier leaked benchmarks. In the image, a Glass-like design can be seen; whether it will house an all-glass body remains a mystery.
In the rear, it will have a Single Camera with LED Flash, and below that, a Fingerprint Scanner can be seen which is located far better than that of the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 smartphones.
It may have a 5.5(inch) Full HD Plus Infinity Super AMOLED Screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels. As earlier rumored the devices will not have a Dual Camera setup. A  Bixby Button can also be seen on the side which means that Samsung may provide this dedicated button in the upcoming devices as well.
The device looks pretty slim though, and we are not sure at this point whether the images are of Galaxy A7(2018) or the Galaxy A5(2018).

The update received by the two devices is an OTA type and weighs around 330MB. The update built number is named as NRD90M.G950WVLU1AQI3 and fixes the vulnerability towards Blueborne.
Blueborne is a leak in smartphone technology which was discovered recently; it makes use of the Bluetooth connection to transfer data to the hacker. The hacker only needs an open Bluetooth connection to get the data of the desired user. Still, there are a lot of devices which are prone to malware like Blueborne and companies should pay attention to it.
OnePlus has also released an update to fix their devices so that Blueborne could not make any loss to their devices.
If you haven’t received the update yet, then there is nothing to worry about as you can check it manually any time by going to settings menu-about device-system updates. Samsung Gear Fit 2: Specification, Features And Review:

  • The first to notice while seeing the device the design as is becomes more flexible band style than earlier model. Device is in shape of wrist means the display is slightly curve to fit in wrist style. The devices is optimal to use for daily day to day activity as display got overall devices size but looks good device is flexible and wear easily without any issues.

  • Display measures about 1.5-inch with resolution 216×432 pixel. Samsung uses super AMOLED display which accommodate the device perfectly user use touch display and button to swipe through UI.  Display is good visibility in any light condition, though display is vertical data also show.
Samsung Gear Fit 2 Vertical Notification

  • The first noticeable thing about the new Gear Fit 2 is its size. It’s a more flexible band than the original Gear Fit, which felt unforgiving on the wrist, but it’s also bigger. This is partly to accommodate a larger — Samsung notes it’s twice as wide as the prior model — 1.5-inch, super AMOLED display, which was designed with maximum visibility in mind. All of the data is displayed vertically on your wrist, which means you don’t have to turn your wrist to view a horizontal display.
  • In addition to tracking workout distances using the GPS sensors, the Gear Fit 2 tracks the now-standard assortment of personal health metrics: steps, sleep, various activities, and heart rate. It includes a daily timeline view of your daily activities, and will show entire maps of running or cycling routes after you’ve finished your activity, because again, that big display. And it will show a variety of notifications from your smartphone.
    Samsung Gear Fit 2 GPS
    Samsung Gear Fit 2 GPS
  • Samsung is also the second tech company in recent days that has partnered with Spotify to create a dedicated Spotify app for its new wearable gadget. (Pebble was the other.) So there are three options for music listening through the new wristband. You can store up to 4GB of music locally on the device, use the wristband as a Bluetooth remote control for other music apps on the phone, or play Spotify from your wrist — although you’ll still need a phone in tow for that, at least for now.
Samsung Gear Fit 2 Music Control
Samsung Gear Fit 2 Music Control
  • Its expected battery life is better than you might expect for a wristband with a large display and GPS. Samsung says it expects the band to last three to four days with typical usage, and up to five days long in standby mode.
    Samsung Gear Fit 2 Battery
    Samsung Gear Fit 2 Battery
Gear Fit 2 Has A Dedicated Spotify App:
  • The Gear Fit 2 costs $179 and will ship before the end of the year. That’s $20 less than the price of the original Gear Fit, which retailed for $199, and around the same price as the Microsoft Band 2, another activity-tracking wristband with built-in GPS. It’s also significantly less than the price of the GPS-equipped Fitbit Surge, which costs $250. I have to give Samsung credit for cramming as many capabilities as it could into a sub-$200 wristband.
  • However, the Gear Fit 2 has one drawback that those other aforementioned bands don’t have: it only works with Android smartphones (4.4 or higher), whereas Fitbits, Microsoft Band, and even Garmin devices work with a variety of mobile platforms as well as desktop software.
    Samsung Gear Fit 2
    Samsung Gear Fit 2
  • Samsung does say that the Gear Fit 2 can be used independently of a mobile phone, so if you did have an iOS device and you still, for whatever reason, really wanted to wear the Gear Fit 2, you could. But I can’t see how the limitations would be worth it, considering you wouldn’t get “smart” notifications from your phone, and you’d only be able to look at your workout data directly on the wristband.
  • So Samsung is pulling an Apple, by introducing a wearable that’s meant to have broad appeal but is limited to one platform (for now). It’s an approach that has worked moderately well for Apple so far; by some estimates the company may have sold between 10 and 12 million smartwatches in its first year, and Apple is ranked third on IDC’s list of top wearable’s vendors for the first quarter of 2016. But Samsung is fifth on that same list, claiming just a 3.6 percent share of the worldwide wearable’s market, and that sliver is mostly comprised of Samsung’s smartwatches, not fitness bands.
    Samsung Gear Fit 2 Buttons
    Samsung Gear Fit 2 Buttons
  • Samsung is obviously wagering that the new Gear Fit 2 might be tech-sexy enough to help the company grow its overall share in the wearable’s market. But I have to offer a stock conclusion for now: until we have the chance to test it for an extended period of time, we won’t know for sure.
  • For many months now Samsung has been teasing fitness band fans around the world with quirky little tidbits about their updated Gear Fit 2. Finally, things have cleared up and the company has made the device available for $179. The Gear Fit 2 could be available in India for almost Rs 15,000 once it launches here.
But in spite of the pricing, this is the best upgrade Samsung has brought to the fitness segment. We take a detailed look at all the new upgrades, and why this product is for those who want to work, play and workout with ease.
  • The new Gear Fit 2 has a much better design than its predecessor and fits perfectly on the wrist. You would love to wear it the entire day.
  • Staying fit at all times is the primary function of the Gear Fit 2. It records accurate statistics for every activity that you undertake. It automatically recognizes when you’re riding, running or walking up the stairs.
  • The Gear Fit 2 has a built-in GPS sensor that tracks your movements and patterns. It can give you proper records of the distance you run and time you took to reach back home. Also readFitness devices can transform orthopaedic care: Study

Capturing accurate heartbeat rates, the Gear Fit 2 now has better-improved sensors at the back.Fitness goals are now competitive. You can challenge your friend to achieve a goal and vice versa. And the Fit 2 can show you how well you stand against your friend. Tizen is Samsung’s home-brewed OS that runs on all their wearable’s. And the same is used in the Gear Fit 2. It’s a great design with really awesome graphics. Every aspect of the UI has been changed from scratch and this gives it a cool factor.[Image Credit Samsung]
