Nokia 8 the company’s flagship hasn’t been out for more than a month now, and we’re already getting rumors about the next Nokia 9 flagship. And today, what we have here today is an excellent looking high-definition render of the Nokia 9 which is showcased to have dual-curved display edge at the sides, just like the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+.
The Nokia 8 flagship follows a traditional design while this here looks exotic in every way. The design shown here in this render shows an AMOLED display stretching from one edge to another, with almost minimal to no bezels on its sides. It’s a norm nowadays to have the 18:9 aspect ratio, but many applications are not ready to take advantage of this, So we would like HMD to address this.
Moving further on the front the fingerprint scanner is not present on the front fascia like its predecessor; because now its mounted on the rear. We still have some top and bottom bezels, but seems like there’re no plans for dual-stereo speakers here along with the Nokia branding we just have a regular front camera.

Furthermore, on its rear, as expected the fingerprint scanner is present which is now circular. Talking about the camera’s yes, we do have Carl Zeiss optics paired with Dual-tone LED flash sitting next to the dual-shooter set-up. However, the rear is not flat but rather quite ergonomic with a slight curve on both sides, should give it a good in hand feel. As per this renders it’s quite difficult to say whether it’s a glass or glossy metal.
Lastly, the Nokia 8 didn’t have any unique selling point except its Bothie feature and stock Android with guaranteed updates. This time we would like Nokia to bake in some handy features and hopefully not unnecessary gimmicks.
The Nokia 9 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC, 4GB or 6GB RAM with 64GB/128GB storage options with room for expansion. And HMD should not kill the headphone jack as well as well as IP68 protection if they want to sell it. Pricing can be expected to start from $699.
